Valentine's Day! World Cup! Exam Time! Bring it on!

Exam time is here and all kinds of shit is happening like my ex girlfriend messaging me happy valentine's day, my friend wants to tell me something that is apparently very important and it will make me burst with joy, I mean seriously dude, there is nothing that could make me burst with joy or even make me remotely happy, the world cup is here and I have to prepare for this shitty exam that I have no idea about. It's the mother of all cricket matches, it's 'INDIA VS PAKISTAN' and that too it's the WORLD CUP, it doesn't get better than this and it can't get any worse for me. Every one is studying like dogs so that they can watch the match. Some funny things happened surrounding the world cup, a super computer predicted that Afghanistan is going to win the World Cup, I mean the prediction can't get any wrong than this, or should I say messed up than this. That is actually the least of my worries.

Moving on to the next recent tragedy in my life, Valentine's Day! I would've celebrated it but I neither have someone to celebrate with and I have my exam, so it's like 'aage khaai aur peeche kua'. I haven't really understood the purpose of the Valentine's week. For me it's like every other day in a relationship except for the fact that you have to buy your partner a lot of gifts for the whole week.
Maybe I'm saying this because I just don't want to celebrate the Valentine's week or whatever the reason, I don't want to waste time on it, it has the least part of my attention.

I'm just so pissed that the three things that shouldn't be together are together and in a really spectacular fashion. It's not like I have something to do on Valentine's Day, but I don't feel that it's right for these three things to be at the same time. Studying is so exhausting, I don't feel like studying at any time of the day or at night, I mean it's good to gain knowledge but for me studying if the worst way, the best way is practical experience which is very scarce in a place like my college. We rarely go the labs to do some practical work and teachers too look at it as a liability to teach us something that we actually can use to make something of our selves in the future. Theoretical knowledge can get you only so far but when it comes to the real deal, practical work matters. I'm sorry I just deviated from the topic but who cares. I have this tendency to keep on babbling about something or the other till someone tells me 'Bhai tu to dil pe hi le gaya' and I realize that I've spoken too much and I know I am doing it again right now.

The World Cup is here and everyone is excited about it and it's the big one tomorrow 'India VS Pak'. I am not much of a cricket buff but when it comes to this, the cricket fan inside of me awakens and I can say the same for every Indian guy and girl. Everything else seems worthless when this match is ON. All eyes will be glued to the T.V. screen. And of everything else how can I forget the betting, there is going to be a lot of betting for cold drinks and sandwiches. Betting is the best part about watching cricket matches in a hostel. There are literally two teams of guys and they have their sort of tam leaders who have the biggest bets and with every boundary and every six and with every fallen wicket the hostel bursts with the sound of 'YAY' and all that whistling is potentially deafening. In all that energy how can someone not love the spirit of cricket? After all we all Bleed Blue.

Now with all this happening around how can someone concentrate on a book which has a cover with 'dinosaurs' made on it. Hats off to my roommate who is continuously studying all the time without any breaks, almost like when I use my laptop and my other roommate doesn't even care to open his book and he know almost everything and is even teaching others too. Literally when I see him teaching something to anyone, believe me this is what goes through my mind 'This is the most fucked up thing I've ever seen' and it's even fucked up than all those Punjabi videos I've seen since I entered this college. Believe me this is something truly messed up. Now that is too much of fucked up or as the sensor board wants it 'messed up' for one day!

"TO STUDY OR NOT TO STUDY, THAT IS THE QUESTION"
